The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up mandatory minicamp at the team facility on Thursday, marking the final set of offseason activities before training camp kicks off next month.
"It's great to get these young guys in and our new players incorporated in the offense, defense and special teams," said Head Coach Andy Reid. "I like the effort that they put forward the veterans included. We had great attendance for everything, so that was a plus, too."
The three-day mandatory camp concluded an otherwise voluntary offseason training program that began in early April with strength and conditioning activities. The program then moved on to on-field positional drills before graduating to offensive vs. defensive segments of practice over the last three weeks.
It's worth noting that padded practices aren't permitted this time of year and no "live" hitting is allowed to take place, but despite those limitations, the progress made over the last few months will lay the groundwork for training camp and beyond.
With all of that in mind, here are some quick notes from Tuesday and Wednesday's practices, which were open to members of the media.

Next up, the Chiefs will head up to Missouri Western State University next month to kick off training camp. The full schedule of camp practices open to the public will be announced in the coming weeks.
