Cypresswood Golf Club Announces Groundbreaking of New Clubhouse Following Hurricane Harvey Loss
Cypresswood Golf Club is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a brand-new clubhouse, signifying a major step forward in the club's restoration efforts after the original facility was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. The official groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the site of the future clubhouse.
The previous clubhouse served as a focal point for players and guests before being lost during the historic 2017 storm. Since that time, Cypresswood Golf Club, owned and operated by Foresight Golf LLC, has continued operations while preparing for a new facility that will serve as a beacon of renewal and progress for the local golf community.
The new clubhouse, designed by LDDBlueline Architects and to be built by Paradigm Construction, will offer upgraded amenities including an elevated driving platform and panoramic views of the adjacent golf course. The facility will also feature a modern pro shop and event-friendly spaces to better support tournaments, community gatherings, and daily play.
The project has received the support of Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey, whose office has played a key role in regional recovery and development efforts. Community leaders, club members, partners, and media representatives are invited to join the celebration and witness the beginning of this exciting new chapter.
'We are excited to celebrate this addition to Precinct 3 and congratulate the Cypresswood Golf Club,' said Commissioner Tom Ramsey. 'It is because of facilities like these that make our precinct a great place to gather and enjoy as a community.'
