Career Ahead magazine's January issue with the cover story featuring Prima Ballerina Joy Womack is available now on the Career Ahead website. Joy is one of the first American dancers to train at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow and is former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. The issue has articles by several other amazing artists, including visual artist and NFT proponent Nicole Buffett (granddaughter of legendary investor Warren Buffett). Grammy-nominated musician Ajay Mathur has written about his journey from India to Switzerland and how he made his way in a foreign land, creating a career out of interests that stoked his passion. Pooja Backliwal, Managing Editor says 'At Career Ahead, we believe that every person has the potential to create an exceptional career journey and it's our goal to guide and empower them to achieve it.'
In the Q&A with actor-director Sohaila Kapur, sister of celebrated film director Shekhar Kapur, readers will find a wealth of tips for aspiring actors and can learn what she discovered over the course of her varied career. Also in this issue is an introduction to careers in motorsports, with a contribution by Indian racecar driver Justin Singh who discusses how he started his career in motorsports in India, with limited resources and guidance. An in-depth article by Sharmila Bhushan - a Spanish/Portuguese expert with over 25 years of experience - shares what it takes to be a foreign language translator and interpreter and the various career paths open to those who learn a foreign language.
In addition, the issue has articles on how to navigate the corporate realm by industry stalwarts; and tips for improving communication in an article by award-winning PR and Communications professional Aaron Sherinian. Readers will also find a complete guide to making a good first impression by personality development coach Sneha Gupta, who has over a million followers on her Instagram page, and the first-hand experience of an international student at the NYU School of Law.
As always, this issue of Career Ahead magazine seeks to broaden the worldview of the next generation, to make them aware of the options available to them, and to inspire them to follow their dreams as they create their own exceptional career journeys. Psychologist Divya Jain in her article 'Changing the Metaphor' talks about discarding the dated metaphor of the 'rat race' and seeing our life's work as a unique journey - taking a value-based approach to our careers, rather than a traditional goal-oriented approach. Akhil Backliwal, Editor in Chief says 'We strive to inspire the next generation with new perspectives and broaden their worldview through the amazing stories and experiences of successful individuals.' This issue promises to be of great value to young creative souls who are searching for the perfect career option for themselves. Grab your copy to be inspired!
