LEWIS CENTER, OH / ACCESSWIRE / May 13, 2019 / Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. (OTCQB: MEEC) ('ME2C' or the 'Company'), a leader in mercury emissions control in North America, announced today that it has signed a multi-year contract renewal with a long-term customer located in the U.S. Southwest. This renewal is expected to generate approximately $3M annually in product sales utilizing the Company's patented, two-part Sorbent Enhancement Additive (SEA®) process.
''We are pleased to continue our relationship with this customer, one that began in 2014,'' stated Richard MacPherson, President and CEO of ME2C. ''Over the past several years, our dedicated operations team has supported significant plant and operational improvements; and, our mercury capture process has shown consistent, effective, low-cost results. This contract renewal, which includes a license to operate our patented SEA® process, represents this Utility's strong commitment to our innovative, patented technologies.''
MacPherson continued, ''Throughout 2019, we expect to continue to drive shareholder value by securing additional contracts with USA-based and international customers currently in our pipeline. The continued leadership by Caldwell Cassady & Curry, P.C., of the Company's efforts to license our patented SEA® technologies, as well as assure that our installed processes are operated by ME2C, is proving successful.''
The Company's SEA® technologies help clients achieve and remain in full compliance with all applicable state and federal mercury compliance rules. Key advantages of the Company's SEA® technologies include improved mercury oxidation and increased sorbent reactivity, improving mercury capture while using far less sorbent, and minimized ESP particulate by using lower amounts of sorbent overall as compared to all other approaches.
